Open CTI Retirement ScanCX Labscxlabs.co

Salesforce retires Open CTI on 28 February 2028

Find out what the retirement touches in your org.

A read-only scan of your Salesforce set-up and a six-page report in a few minutes: migration impact, seats, indicative Voice licence cost and when to start.

What you get

What it reads, and what it never reads

The scan is read-only. It reads configuration, code and counts through the Salesforce APIs with one token that is revoked the moment the scan ends, and your admin can also revoke it at any time from Setup, Connected Apps OAuth Usage.

Reads

  • Call centre definitions and which users are assigned
  • The source of your custom Apex, Lightning and Visualforce code and text static resources, to look for Open CTI calls; only component names and match counts are kept
  • Installed packages, flows, triggers, rules, reports and dashboards that reference Open CTI or call fields
  • Counts of call activity and logins, aggregated
  • Omni-Channel, Lightning and Voice licence status

Never reads

  • Task subjects or descriptions
  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers or any other record content
  • Managed package source code (hidden by Salesforce)

Access uses the Salesforce scope "Manage user data via APIs" only.

Authorise and scan

  1. 1Choose and consentSandbox or production, your details, the consent box. That is this form.
  2. 2Sign in and AllowOn Salesforce's own login page, as a System Administrator. One scope.
  3. 3ReportWatch it run, then download the PDF (the link works for 15 minutes). Two to five minutes for most orgs.
Best practice: scan a recent sandbox. Use a sandbox refreshed in the last few weeks, or create one just for this scan (Setup, Sandboxes). It gives the same answer as production without going near it. A sandbox that is months old under-reports call activity.

Your details are recorded as an enquiry with CX Labs, together with the report, so we can follow up on it.

Sign in on the next screen as a System Administrator (or a user with the "Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps" permission), then click Allow.
